“Why this role” section can go here

Job description

This role is for someone who wants more than “follow the script.” You will reach out to accounts we already have signals on, use the data in our tools to tailor your outreach, and help turn that interest into booked meetings for the sales team.

We do not have a perfect formula yet, so you will get space to test what works, share what you learn with a small global BDR team, and be part of building a better outbound engine. Your wins will be visible and celebrated, and you will build a track record you can take with you.

What you’ll do

  • Research accounts and prepare outreach that fits the person you are contacting, not a generic template

  • Cold call and follow up with a clear, respectful approach

  • Send daily outreach by email and LinkedIn, and keep strong follow-up habits

  • Qualify interest and book meetings that are worth an Account Executive’s time

  • Work closely with Marketing on event follow-up and campaign outreach

  • Share learnings with the team so we improve faster together

What success looks like

In your first 6 to 12 months, success looks like:

  • You run your day with high ownership and strong time management

  • You understand what activity level you personally need to hit results, and you adjust as you learn

  • You help us improve our outbound approach by testing messages and talk tracks, and sharing what you learn

  • You consistently create accepted sales qualified opportunities. The current target is 5 accepted opportunities per month, focused on mid market accounts with a manageable daily rhythm (around 40 calls and 40 emails, plus LinkedIn touches).

What you’ll bring

You do not need to match every point. If you are excited about the role, apply!

  • Some experience with outbound outreach, cold calling, or appointment setting

  • Comfort handling rejection and staying consistent anyway

  • Good judgement and curiosity. You like doing a bit of research before you reach out

  • Clear communication and fast follow-up when a prospect responds

  • A practical, team-first mindset. You share what works and what doesn’t

If you have used Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Microsoft Dynamics, or Dreamdata before, please make sure to highlight this in your application!

How we work and how we support you

  • Weekly team sessions to set the week up well and review results

  • Regular coaching to help you understand your numbers and improve your outreach

  • Frequent touchpoints and collaboration across Business Enablement and Marketing

  • A culture where wins are visible, and learning is shared (including a “brag book” of meetings you have booked)

Interview process

Step 1: Get-to-know-you call with Brandon, our Talent Partner
Step 2: Interview with the Account Executive you will work with
Step 3: Interview with your manager, Edris Ahmady.
Step 4: A short practical exercise, such as a mock outreach and a quick coaching moment to see how you take feedback

Flexibility & ways of working

We’re a remote-first team based in the Boston area, which makes collaboration with our EU colleagues easier. You’ll work from home anywhere in Massachusetts, with most collaboration happening on Eastern Time. If you’re looking for an office-based role or to work from another state, this isn’t the right fit.

Benefits

💰 401(k) that stands out: We match up to 6% from day one. Your future, growing faster.

🩺 Health cover that starts day 1: We pay 70% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your family, with two plans plus HSA.

🛡 Peace of mind: Company-paid life insurance (2× salary), disability cover, and AD&D.

🌴 Time for life: Around 18 days PTO to start + 11 federal holidays. Paid leave for new parents, jury duty, bereavement, and military service.

🧘 Wellbeing perks: Free Headspace family plan, fitness membership (gyms, yoga, apps), and a 24/7 support line with counselling.

Inclusion note

We know not everyone ticks every box, and that’s okay—skills are transferable, and diverse teams make us stronger. If this role excites you, we’d still love to hear how your experience connects to what we’re looking for. Zensai is an equal opportunity employer, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. If you need adjustments at any stage of the process, let us know—we’ll make it work.
