Tell me about the role

As the Director of Global Sales Development at Zensai, you will have a vital role leading our sales development team and driving our global growth initiatives. This role will be instrumental in shaping our sales strategy, optimizing lead generation processes, and building a high-performing sales development team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving revenue growth. Work is virtual but fast-paced and highly collaborative with our cross-functional, global teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive global sales development strategy aligned with our business goals. Collaborate with the executive team to set sales targets and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales development team across multiple regions. Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and refine lead generation processes, utilizing data-driven insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and innovative approaches to maximize conversion rates.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to create integrated campaigns and ensure a seamless handoff of leads. Enhance collaboration to improve the overall customer journey.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure team performance and success. Regularly review performance data and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Training & Development: Design and implement training programs for the sales development team to enhance skills, product knowledge, and selling techniques.

Where is the job based?

This position is based in the eastern United States, ideally within the Chicago area, but Boston or NYC metro areas are also desired. Work is virtual but fast-paced and highly collaborative with our cross-functional, global teams. Coordination with our team in Europe is part of this position.

Job requirements

What skills or experience are we looking for?

Many, but this specific role would be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales development or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, lead generation techniques, and CRM tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive performance.
  • Passion for coaching and developing team members.

  7. In case he also sees your amazing skills and expertise as a great fit, we will invite you to a second interview with a couple of employees from our current team in customer success and sales in the region. Here you will be asked to present a case before the team to showcase your skills.
  8. Within an average of 35 days (we always like to shoot for sooner than later) you’ll know if it’s a “Yes, please!” or a “Maybe later” for joining our team.
